Con la presencia de renombrados expositores del extranjero se inauguró el “VIII Congreso Latinoamericano de estudiantes de Ciencias Veterinarias” en la Universidad Peruana Los Andes. Evento académico – científico que se realiza del 21 al 25 de octubre del presente año, en las instalaciones de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud en el campus universitario de Chorrillos.
El VIII Congreso de Veterinaria en ceremonia, fue inaugurado por el Dr. Rubén Tapia Silguera, Vicerrector Académico de la UPLA, quien, junto al Decano de Salud, Dr. Williams Olivera Acuña dieron la bienvenida a los expositores y estudiantes de los hermanos países de Chile, Colombia, Brasil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, Costa Rica y Estados Unidos.
Durante el acto inaugural, el comité científico de la UPLA indicó, que el propósito es brindar conocimientos actualizados en las diferentes áreas de las Ciencias Veterinarias y mejorar la formación profesional del futuro Médico Veterinario Peruano, a través de las conferencias, ponencias, concursos y talleres para los estudiantes, quienes podrán aplicarlo en el campo laboral planteando alternativas acertadas de solución para los problemas a nivel local, nacional e internacional.
DATO: El VII Congreso durará cinco días con ciclos de conferencias magistrales, talleres, competencias académicas, presentación de trabajos de investigación en las áreas: Sanidad animal, Salud pública, Reproducción animal, Producción animal, Mejoramiento genético, Traumatología veterinaria, Cirugía veterinaria, Oftalmología animal, Actualidad veterinaria, Medio ambiente y Fauna silvestre.
