- Rector UPLA en su calidad de Vicepresidente de Asociación de Universidades del Perú (ASUP).
- Universidades peruanas fortalecen relaciones con China hasta el año 2020 a través de sus instituciones académicas, científicas y culturales.
Con la finalidad de establecer relaciones de colaboración e intercambio entre las Universidades del Perú y China, se firmó un Convenio entre la Asociación de Universidades del Perú (ASUP) y el Institute of Shangai Euro-Asia-América de China, lo que fortalecerá los vínculos entre ambas naciones a través de sus instituciones académicas, científicas y culturales. En la ceremonia especial estuvo el Rector de la UPLA Dr. José Manuel Castillo Custodio en su calidad de Vicepresidente de la Asociación de Universidades del Perú (ASUP).
Dicho acto se realizó en Lima y contó con la participación del total de rectores que conforman la ASUP, y los representantes del Institute of Shangai, comprometiéndose a promover la transferencia de resultados de investigación científica y tecnología, así como la participación del sector industrial, integrando diversos recursos para la innovación y el desarrollo social y económico.
Asimismo, se impulsará el intercambio de buenas prácticas y compensación recíproca de recursos para beneficio de las universidades y empresas de China y Perú; facilitando becas, pasantías y la participación en el Simposio bianual entre autoridades de diversas universidades de China y América Latina.
La Asociación de Universidades del Perú – ASUP es una institución sin fines de lucro que asocia a las universidades públicas y privadas del Perú, siendo representada por sus rectores en vigencia y tiene como propósito promover la coordinación interuniversitaria.
El Institute of Shangai Euro-Asia-América de China, es una institución académica dedicada a las relaciones internacionales de colaboración de la educación superior universitaria, promueve investigaciones con participación del sector industrial y organismos multilaterales.
